Montessori Centre International partners with Little Dukes Training Academy to support quality professional development and teacher training provision
Montessori Centre International (MCI) is partnering with Little Dukes Training Academy which will become a Host Centre, delivering a full suite of MCI’s courses and qualifications to support staff training and development within the Early Years sector.
Little Dukes Training Academy has received approval through the Standards & Training Accreditation Review (STAR) framework operated by MCI and will welcome students onto their training programmes from the Autumn.
The partnership aims to enhance access to high-quality training for educators and early-years practitioners, promoting excellence in care for children everywhere. Society is rapidly evolving and, to meet the challenges of the future, innovative and inclusive educational practices that support and train our next generation of educators are more important than ever.
STAR approved centres are part of a worldwide network committed to upholding the highest standards for education providers, openly taking part in robust quality assurance processes, and enhancing their professional practice continually. Approval by STAR enables the centre to be recognised as one of MCI’s global partners, positioned to bring professional education and Montessori-specialist training directly to the community.
Little Dukes Training Academy will offer a range of MCI programmes, including a brand-new Infant course, Integrating Montessori Specialism (Birth-Age 3) launching in September 2021.
Establishing Little Dukes Training Academy as Montessori Centre International’s first operational Host Centre will drive a vitally important step change in access to professional training and community focussed development; helping to raise the status of teaching at the infant and early years levels – crucial stages for children’s development.
